Living la Viva Móvil

Jenny from the block used to have a little. Now she has a lot. A whole phone empire in fact.

This summer Jennifer Lopez unveiled her collaboration with Verizon to open a series of wireless stores geared at Latinos. The stores function much like authorized retailers, with some separation between the store and Verizon, which might explain the slightly haphazard nature of some traditional branding elements (logo, logo lock up with "Verizon", store signage, etc.).

But, the traditional stuff aside, I'm totally digging this venture. The colors and environments are very Jenny, very Miami-meet-Brooklyn, and the advertising is subtle yet overt. And Viva Móvil is in all the right places, physically and socially, to get this off the ground.

Verizon and J.Lo are on to something here, and I wonder if this will extend into a full blown offering for the Latino community.

Here are some goodies for you.

The  English TV commercial. Note that you really never hear a specific reference to Latinos, Hispanic, Spanish etc. (If you cannot see the embedded video, view the commercial on Facebook directly.)

The Spanish TV commercial. (If you cannot see the embedded video, view the commercial on Facebook directly.)
